African Culture: Village Music and Song from Guinea

EVERY Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 pm at
Bath Dance Works, 72 Front Street, 3rd Floor, Bath ME

Journey to an African village with Sayon Camara of Guinea in weekly classes (unless otherwise noted) that engages participants in the drumming, music, song, story and traditional language from the place where Sayon delighted in his childhood.

All ages and skill levels welcome. No experience necessary. 

Please let us know in advance that you are coming and/or need a drum to rent. First class? Drum rental is on us and the class is only $20!

After the first class the fee is on a sliding scale of $25 - $30.

This class is offered weekly, every week unless noted here. The 2023 class session we are currently in runs through November 29, 2023, though you can join any time! 2024 classes begin on April 24, 2024 and run through the end of 2024.
